Courbette Raised Breastplate $56 COURBETTE was established in 1976 to offer North American riders access to premium European riding equipment. The Courbette name is synonymous with traditional values, innovation and quality. We take great pride in the high standard of our expert design team and old world craftsmanship. Breastplates help to keep the saddle in place. On some horses the saddle might slide to the rear, and a breastplate prevents this from happening. It attaches to the front D’s on the saddle and to the girth, between the horse’s forelegs. Ideal for hunting or in a hilly country side. A standing or running attachment may be used in conjunction with a breastplate. Fully raised body strap in 5/8 width and raised neck strap. Narrow design for showing. |

Courbette’s pre-stretched stirrup leathers are made of the strongest vegetable tanned leather butts. The stainless steel buckles feature a curved tongue and a grooved buckle bar to lie flat under the jockeys. They triple-row stitch their buckles by hand for extra-strength and longevity. Twelve oval numbered holes make adjustments easy.
